RE: DAY 011: REM - Pete - 11-17-2022

@TerryRitchie

I'd love BLOCK REM statements added to the IDE. I've mentioned this on more than one occasion over the years.

Best we have so far is this little hack...

Code: (Select All)
$IF  THEN
Put stuff here
on as many lines as you want
just don't have a line
' with [] brackets in it,
as they are not immune.
$END IF

Not perfect, but at least it's something. Remove the ' in the above and you'll see what I mean about some characters like brackets.

What is today's (2022-Nov-17) keyword, please?

Because I'm not one of the mods I don't dare start such a topic.

RE: DAY 011: REM - Pete - 11-17-2022

The keyword for today is: _PATIENCE.

PROS:  It provides a courtesy popup message to tell your users your program is damn slow and they will have to wait a bit for the output to be displayed.

CONS: It only works in _LIMIT loops of 30 frames per second or less.

Other than that. Yeah, fire up the Magic 8-Ball, already!

What would you pick?
