About six years ago, my Son told me a joke he made up. Why did the chicken cross the road? To get away from North Korea's long range missiles. Unfortunately, that joke gets less funny with the passage of time, but I still love it.
Mac, former owner of the original QBasic Forum was asked about chicken jokes once. Mac being a stout programmer replied, "What proof do I have the road exists?"

But, the chicken probably never came first... After all... Most domesticated animals are bred and cross-bred to be what they are today... You never know... the first farm bird may have looked like a scruffy looking turkey...
