We have Hex editors and that work with QB64, instead of that out dated stuff.

Welcome Selmet, do you have any QB64 code you want to show off or ask questions about?

RE: Hexxit80 hexedit program - Pete - 08-12-2022

I tried using a hex editor to view a spell check routine, but hex editing it broke the spell.

Followed the link. I used to know Fred over there. I might have a look at his code sometime. Don't know if I'd ever download a project by Joe Blow.

Oh well, what's the point of this thread, anyway?

@Pete -- he's asking for help, in a size 4 font. Squint close.

Size removed to normal.

LOL Now dammit, that's funny. If all caps is "yelling" size 4 fonts must indicate someone too embarrassed to make a post. I've always gone with my catch phrase, "I am not modest, because I have nothing to be modest about!" Big Grin

Okay, now that I'm done laughing my ASCII off...

Try Dav's hex editor written in QB64. VB-DOS is a bit too limited to bother with in some respects. The only thing I ever used it for was back in 1990 to help write the dial out portion of a phone calling app.

LOL I missed the ant print too!

I found I could copy paste it to notepad++ and read it a normal size, after I became aware that it was there.

Me too, but I just used Notepad. Notepad++ is a very cool ap. I used to code in it before the QB64 IDE got much improved.

I was going to post something too, to react to the OP's tiny print but after seeing B+'s first post here digressed. What got my attention from the other site were the programs by the author of SICK64.
