M$ did that like for ages for their language products such as BC.EXE for QuickBASIC and BASIC PDS. "Simultaneously published in the U.S.A. and Canada" also LOL.

Borland were like "Copyright 1983, 90 by Borland International" for Turbo Pascal v6.0 I think. Note the "comma ninety". This was for the "splash" screen of the IDE as well as for the command-line compiler called TPC.EXE.
