Looking for everyone's best
#1
Maybe this is how the forums are organized, or maybe it's just he kind of work(s) people make public... What I'm seeing is a lot of people have mastered the QB64 code snippet, demonstrating how to do this-or-that in isolation. What I'm looking for is the section where people's finished works are featured. Everything looks like a half-working program in progress, or a paste from something coded years ago without much regard for future integrations.

Where can I find the best, most polished programs written by the members, not just small demos?

Well you'll just have to show us!

BTW this forum does not allow 2+MB files.

So the response from a "mini mod" is ... wait ... you're saying *I* have to go find your best work? What can you show me?

Aye, guess B+ got that wrong Smile

First you must know this forum is quiet young (5 weeks). It was born when qb64.org was abandoned. Most users of the old forum there are back on board here, however, it will probably need some time until they get all their stuff from the old forum posted here too.

A good place to look here are the "Expanding Horizons" and "Prolific Programmers" boards.

Also the old forum is archived here https://qb64forum.alephc.xyz/, just have a look to the boards listed under "Samples Gallery & Reference".

For instance, there's a nice game called "Hunters Revenge" here https://qb64forum.alephc.xyz/index.php?t...22#msg2322

If you want 3D-Mania, then look at "Terror in the Maze" latest v84 download link here https://qb64forum.alephc.xyz/index.php?t...#msg132654

@triggered
just what's your reason for asking this question?
there are plenty of good examples by proficient members, if you want a complete masterpiece then why don't you show us how it's done?

Well, maybe I got it wrong, don't know, but the essence of the inital post was (for me at least) the question where HE FINDS COMPLETED programs from OTHER people, rather than just code snippets without any context.

Your reply to that post shows me, that for you the essence was the question where HE shall post HIS OWN COMPLETED programs.

Or his question had possibly a complete different consense I didn't catch, well maybe, I'm not a native english speaker.

So, maybe @triggered can clarify, who was wrong and who was right Huh

Best, at best is an opinion and at worst it is a wonderful trolling device. Just ask who the best President was.

Is this guy really asking for help with something specific to do with coding?

.... Including your signature! This is enough to keep me busy for a while, I tried getting into FreeBASIC (x-itioning from GW basic) but I find QB64 much more attractive. Do the old colors like "COLOR 4" work with new screen modes? Had trouble there.

Sorry bplus i didnt mean to get your dander up
