For the past 24 hours, I've noticed an inability to connect to the forum for several minutes. This has occurred approximately 6 times so far. Anyone else experiencing similar forum down time?

Must be the connection hub then, and not the forum server. All other sites on my end have been accessible during the related down time I experienced, so my local connection was not the problem. I'll keep an eye out, but only until 11pm. Everyone "nose" it isn't safe for an eye to be out, by itself, after 11.

Could also be an issue with your DNS. You might try running "ipconfig /flushdns"
Ask me about Windows API and maybe some Linux stuff

That may have been when Steve was under anesthesia. His pet squirrels were probably hibernating in his beard during that time, instead of running the hamster wheel that powers these boards. My best guess.

Wow! It's not like the whole thing is going to fall apart if this forum does! But if Github have server problems also, there is going to be some reckoning.
I've been not having trouble getting into this forum the past few days. That might change during the weekend... there's a T-storm watch that I don't want to be involved in. :/

Well, let's see. The forum died for extended periods of time when Galleon was in charge, and it soon became clear that he was attempting to end his involvement. Okay, that was survived rather well, although with a new site.
Then recently, the forum died for a couple of weeks, at first I also thought no problem just a glitch, then I became nervous enough to ask around, and this time a more agonizing death had transpired. Even lost archives, that by some magic, the few valiant members managed to resurrect.
I never had a clue, those previous times, that anything was amiss. Others, more perceptive than me, may have had, but not moi.
So, who's to say, when something critical may have occurred?
