And, if you think the last demo is "cheating" somehow by not drawing each box pixel by pixel, then simply go in and add a _LIMIT to that last loop. Give it a _LIMIT 1000 or so, and it should be slow and smooth enough to watch as it makes the passes across the screen, without leaving afterimages in your eyes.
