Yeah that's fair, I was just theorizing based on the line it was exploding on. That said, after checking the documentation (which I should have done XD...)
BINARYwill create non-existing files anyway, so that can't really be the underlying problem like I had thought. And trying it myself I can't trigger the error regardless of when I delete those files.
