I see some cosmetic changes, but haven't challenged it enough yet to see any real changes. Maybe when I get past Hello World I'll see the differences.

Indeed, "Hello World" pretty much works the same
When you reach image and sound stuff some day, you'll find lots of new supported file formats then and speed improvements especially for image loading.
