New and improved SICK project
#13
You're right. It did run well for me. My frustration comes from the fact that he wants to claim that I did not test the code and that he neglected to say what version of Windows or if he was on 32 bit or 64 bit. My initial entry to this thread was to provide him with some alternative code so that he would not have to use a header file. As for "SIC64" and him being interested in 32 bit, I don't recall seeing him explicitly state that his project was intended for 32 bit. I see where YOU said you updated your 32 bit build of QB64pe for the project, which doesn't necessarily mean that it requires 32, only that you built it with 32. I'm not going to dig through all of those doc files to see whether he designed this code for 32 bit or not. As a matter of fact, if it was specifically for 32 bit, he should have the code enclosed in an $IF block to only allow compilation on 32 bit (or to simply mention it in his original post). Besides, I have said he does not have to use the conversion I have provided. The issue is most likely not coming from the code I gave since it has direct translations, correct struct sizes, and correct variable types.

Anyways, I hope y'all get it figured out. I won't interfere any further.

P.S. (The issue is coming from QB64pe itself, most likely. That, and that "CPUtrap" sub. You can run those memory functions all on their own with no issues (in 32 bit, once you remove the compiler optimization check).)
Ask me about Windows API and maybe some Linux stuff
