QB still is QB
before time was 32 and then it became 64, in the next future it will be 128 or 256...
PE was
Phoenix Edition because it had re-borned by its ashes
Professional Edition because it goes on from previous QB64 last available version
Plus Enterprise because it lets add module and libraries of expert storical QB64 coders shared on this forum
Permanent Evolution because it goes through the time
so my 2 cents are a question: Is more important defining how many byte it uses as basis or the spirit of being evolutionary?
In other words is more important the "64" of the name or the "PE" in the name?
....
only Team developers and hystorical member of the 2 previous forums (.net and .org) can have a large perspective to evaluate the differences and the importance of 64 and of PE in the name of language.

Good Coding
For old Windows revs (XP, Seven, Vista, and 10 32 bit), isn't QB64PE also a true 32 bit version?
So, isn't the 64 part confusing?
I guess the important part is "QB".
So, the name could also be for a 4 letters short name: "QBSE" for "QB Second Edition" (Steve Edition - LoL) or "QB64SE" (for a long name) or even "QBNE" for QB New Edition or QB Next Edition (that will preserve the path to futur 128, 256, etc).
Just my two cents .
Cheers.
