Also whoever is in charge of ApCo at least since they keep changing hardware and software on the users every few years. It would be hard to believe if they're getting it done only with C, C++ and Python. That's for ARM platform.

There's still a lot of ASM code out there for 16-bit which has to be figured out by the ones in charge of DOSBOX in particular. Might be a business also for emulation of ancient game systems such as Atari 2600 and original NES, there are a whole bunch of them. Many Turbo Pascal and C++ programs cannot be converted easily away from the inline ASM that they contain, although to upgrade it to 32-bit and 64-bit could leave out certain specific code such as for CGA and serial port.
