Oops. Sorry for the mistake. Blush
BTW, all the best to SMcNeill for his Heart surgery.
Cheers.

I was working on some personal documentation (yeah, I like printed-out stuff versus wiki, sue me) and I whipped up a scalable SVG image that mimics what is already out there. So I thought I would share an example of what it looks like for grins.

Thumbs up! I like how you preserved the colors in QBPE! (Oh Steve had that already, just looks cleaner borders) and the symmetries of q, p and b works nicely, cool!

If you guys want to have fun with tweaking the logo, why don't you try changing the QBPE to qb64, and move the "p" and "e" down under the wings. (View image above and use your imagination.) From the other thread, it seems as if we'll end up naming ourselves QB64-PE, and I'm just curious how that'd look if we tried to get it all on a logo/icon. Wink

Too bad not:

Hmm... maybe put QB64 at heart (smaller square logo) and keep PE where it is with 1-2 more colors.

Hey is beak of Phoenix pointed up on right or down on left?

I can certainly play with it.
FYI: I do this sort of thing for therapeutic fun...

fonts are toys

BTW: I'm still not clear... with PE become QB64-PE  as in that will be the EXE name, in the docs and everything else?

@Pwillard, clean extracting.

However, the logo in general suffers from the fact that a new user who finds the site cannot do anything with "QBPE". Ok, it's next to it in the current logo, but that makes the "QBPE" between the wings superfluous. I think it looks out of place.

To the beak: A bit confused! Of course, the beak must point to the top right, because that symbolizes ascent. Ascending towards the sun. It's psychological.
Something pointing to the top right always symbolizes rise, triumph, victory.

If we, vote I am for QB64-PE or I vote for "we'll end up", same thing, just end up the ambiguity.

But does the dash have to be on LOGO? does it have to be all one line? I think fine if just tack the PE in somewhere.
